PROJECT

cassland road

RenewEL had been maintaining the neighbour’s garden and met the client at number 40 when removing ivy from the boundary walls. The garden lies within the Victoria Park conservation area and so work to the boundary was carried out with the necessary care to prevent damage to the historic garden walls.

The gardens along Cassland Road at 30m long are a generous size for this area of London. This allowed for different spaces to be created along the length of the garden.

The client already had a beautiful garden toward the nearside of the house, with beautifully laid lawn, trees, shrubs and perennial planting with a small pond framing the space 20m down the garden. However, the area beyond the pond had been neglected and become overgrown and derelict. First, the space was cleared out by our maintenance team. The client then decided to overhaul the space to the far end of the garden. New works included laying a new patio area re-using the existing York paving slabs, installing new slabs to match the old, installing a new shed, building a bench and raised planter for growing vegetables. A new space was created allowing the client to grow their own fruit and vegetables and a patio space for sitting, with family.

'Renew East London carried out a project in my garden in March 2022. The team were fantastic from start to finish. They were able to advise me with the design so that the area was vastly improved but sympathetic to nature and in keeping with the surrounding

gardens. The work was carried out by a lovely team of guys who worked hard and consistently throughout. Delivery of materials and disposal of waste was carried out very efficiently given that I live in a terraced house on a busy road, with access only through the

house. I’m so delighted with the end result and very happy to recommend to friends and family. In fact my neighbours were so impressed that they had work carried out on their

garden and then recommended them to their daughter too.'
