This garden was used by a large family with older and younger children, and was in need of a little TLC.  The brief was to create a space in which the family could all play and relax, but demographically had different uses at different times.  Core to the garden was trampoline for the younger children, which was currently dominating the space installed at ground level.  We solved the problem of the physical invasion of the trampoline by creating a pit to house it – removing it from the eye-line.  We removed the existing turf and paving, created a timber framework, laid a new, lush, hard-wearing artificial lawn and created a seating area for the adults and older children to enjoy the sunshine.
