Ranwell west, For Clarion Housing
This £45K project to deliver a community garden in the heart of London’s East End, for local residents of the
Ranwell West Housing Estate, was completed in Autumn 2024.
Coined the “Sunrise and Sunset” Garden, the layout was designed by Helena; an artist who
has worked locally creating the large sculpted metal flowers distributed in public spaces locally.
Phase one of the project included a shed with essential tools, a water supply and 12 plots, and to popular demand after a productive summer season, including a harvest of tomatoes, squash, aubegine, kale, lettuce and leeks; phase two was installed Autumn 2024. We created 14 at ground vegetable plots and 4 raised beds for older or disabled residents.
